Xanadu DJL
Xanadu DJL
Cabernet Sauvignon:
Predominantly cabernet sauvignon, 14% of the blend comprised of malbec and petit verdot, 14 months in French barriques. A melange of red and black fruit on the bouquet and palate, with each variety seemingly contributing, layers of mulberry leaf, spicy oak and chocolate also in the equation. Structured to cellar well but certainly enjoyable as it is. Drink by 2027. Special Value. Score - 93. (Steven Creber, winecompanion.com.au, Aug. 1, 2019)
Chardonnay:
Predominantly Gingin clone from Wallcliffe, Wilyabrup, Treeton and Karridale, whole-bunch pressed to barrel (20% new) for wild fermentation, all components stirred through a 9-month maturation. The complexity and character of the wine has garnered countless gold medals over the years, and you would expect this vintage to add to the record. Drink by: 2028. Special Value. Score - 93.
